Tony is a large red
brindle boy with four white feet. His
eyes are more amber than brown and when he looks at you, it makes you melt.
Tony adores human
attention and loves to be petted and rubbed by his humans. He sticks close to his humans and is very
interested and concerned when they move around the house. You might feel Tony’s nose give you a gentle
nudge on the behind because he following closely in case you need his help. And “Tony The Nose” is always available to
help his human.
Tony needs at least one
other dog with him in his forever home.
He doesn't seem to do well as an only dog. Tony is safe with some small dogs, but with
others he is much too curious. I think
his safeness will depend on the dog. He
is fine with dogs 45 pounds or larger and lives with 3 mixed breeds in his
foster home along with several Greyhounds.
Tony can be a bit dominant and might do better with a female rather than
a male.
He crates well and although
he is sometimes vocal, he has not been destructive in the crate. He eats in the crate due to other dogs being
in the home. Tony can be competitive
about food so he would need to be crated when fed or placed in a secure place
away from other pets.
His house manners have
been excellent. Other than a couple of
accidents (urine) he has been perfect.
He has not been destructive at all.
Tony has attended Meet and
Greets and loved all the petting and attention.
He enjoyed attention from children as well as adults. He was VERY curious about some of the small
dogs who came in the pet store so caution would need to be used when placing
him with small dogs. He is purported to
be cat safe, but I would like to re-test him just to be sure due to his
reaction to the small dogs.
Tony will be someone’s
heart boy. He is sweet, loving and just
gorgeous.
