Meet Minnie

             Adopted- March 29, 2014

Here is what my Foster Mom had to say about me.

Minnie is a very sweet, submissive greyhound that gets along with males and females alike. She is very fun loving and enjoys running laps in the backyard and playing chase with her foster siblings. She loves to roach and have her belly scratch, and she also loves to be in the same room as you. If you leave a room or go somewhere she doesn't follow, she will lay down and wait for you to return.

She crates well, loves to eat, and has never had an accident in the house. She knows how to go up and down stairs, and she is well behaved in the car. She does not get up on the furniture and she is not cat safe. Minnie loves to play but does not seem to enjoy going on walks (we are working with her on this). She has a tendency to "freeze" and refuses to continue the walk. During the Smyrna Christmas Parade, Minnie walked about mile, but preferred to ride in the back of the truck for the rest of the parade.

Overall, she is a very sweet and loving greyhound waiting for her forever home. She has a lot of love to offer anyone who adopts her.

Foster Mom,

Lisa

Meet Major

Racing Name: UMR Major Bill

Welcome to My Blog

March 10, 2014

Here is what my foster family had to say about me.

Major is doing great! He is such a loving boy and loves as much human attention as he can get. Major has a ton of energy and loves to go. He loves to ride in the car, go to the dog park or take a walk. As soon as you go to get a leash, Major is excited and ready to go. We have been working on his leash walking, he is doing much better with the pulling. He is just so excited about the next new thing he is going to see on the walk, that he wants to go, go, go. He gets along so well with our other three greys as well as our cat. He listens well. A "no" is all he needs to stop whatever he is doing.

He takes his stuffed monkey to bed every night. As soon as I say "bed", the other three dogs head to the bedroom. Major has to go to the toy box, or wherever he has put his monkey, and grab him to take to his bed. He puts his monkey on his bed, circles it twice and then lays down with his monkey resting between his legs. He's a sweetheart!
