Atascocita Thera, "Thera"

Gender: Female
D.O.B: August 8, 2012
Weight: 58 pounds
Small Pet Safe: Yes
Color: Fawn

Atascocita Thera's name sounded like "Sara" with a lisp, so we've been calling her "Nala", like from the Disney movie, The Lion King. She is a beautiful light fawn color just like Nala. She is super sweet and smiles all the time. She likes to play with stuffies and loves to race her foster brother Toby around the back yard. She usually stays in the same room with us, but is sometimes content to go an lay down in another room for a nap.

She crates perfectly and has had absolutely no accidents in the house. She is excited when we come home, but waits patiently before she is let out of the crate to give us kisses. Her tail constantly wags when she is happy. She loves to roll around in the grass in the backyard! She has roached several times and will lay with her belly up for as long as she can hold her balance. I think she's working on her tan lines.

She sits occasionally (a REAL sit!) but she only does it when she's about to roll around in the grass or scratch her neck. She's transitioned to dry dog food well. I'm pretty sure she was raw fed before because she almost snagged some fresh amberjack steaks that were marinating on the counter. She has not had any other counter-surfing occurrences since then. She is learning to take treats from our hands. At first, she would knock them onto the floor, snatch them up, run to another room to devour them, then come back for more. She will now take a treat from our hands and only walk a few feet away to enjoy her treat. She will stand and let us Furminate her for as long as we like and she has done well with nail trims. She is super sweet and gets along great with other hounds. We've not exposed her to other breeds or animals since we only have greyhounds.
This smiley,

*** Don't Forget to check out my other foster brother's and sisters.  All of us would like to find out forever home.
